Releasable Cable Ties — Reusable Cable Ties for Adjustable and Temporary Cable Management

Cobra® releasable cable ties integrate a hinged release tab on the head. Pressing the tab disengages the pawl from the rack, allowing the tail to be withdrawn and the tie to be reopened, repositioned, and re-tightened. The same tie can be reused multiple times without loss of mechanical integrity.

When to Specify Releasable Cable Ties

Releasable cable ties are the correct product choice in the following scenarios:

• Staged installations where cable routing is confirmed over multiple site visits
• Server rooms and data centres where cables must be accessed periodically for adds, moves, and changes
• Production and test benches where assemblies are reconfigured frequently

Installation and Release Procedure

To install: wrap the tie around the bundle, insert the tail into the head until the pre-coupling tooth engages, and pull the knurled section firmly until the desired tension is reached. To release: press the hinged tab on the head to disengage the locking pawl, then withdraw the tail. The tie can be immediately repositioned and re-tightened.
