Wiring cable ties made of PA12, black color, offer a haigh resistance to UV rays, to atmospheric agents and to low temperature. They are suggested for outdoor applications, also sea environment.
Characterized by a highly stable hooking system beetwen the head and the outside rack with parallel insertion, with flat head and no protrusions which permit a wider surface of support on the product to be fixed. Single head Code 9801. Double head Codes 9811-9821.
For wall applications our wall plug Cod. 9771 can be used.
For the installation it is necessary the use of pliers for cable ties, Code 8523 (see the section “tools for cable ties”).
Cobra® Installation Cable Ties PA12
Cobra® PA12 installation cable ties are manufactured from Polyamide 12 (PA12), the engineering-grade nylon preferred for marine, and chemically demanding environments. PA12 absorbs significantly less moisture than PA6.6, maintaining dimensional stability and mechanical performance in humid, wet, and chemically aggressive conditions.
Operating temperature: −40°C to +85°C. Flame rated UL 94 HB. CE compliant.

When PA12 is the right choice?
In humid and saline environments, PA12 represents an excellent solution due to its low moisture absorption, high chemical resistance, and superior stability in aggressive conditions.
Salt corrosion immunity: PA12 is intrinsically resistant to chlorides and saline solutions. Unlike metals, it does not rust; unlike other plastics, it does not undergo environmental stress cracking caused by salt exposure.
Minimal moisture absorption: the lowest water uptake of any polyamide means the tie maintain the dimensional stability. Low moisture uptake preserves the tight tolerances of the locking head, ensuring consistent tensile performance from installation through the full service life.
PA12 is a rigid material with limited flexibility; therefore, the use of a suitable installation tool (8523 or 8543) is required to properly apply the Cobra cable ties and ensure correct performance.
